I have noticed the problem on several threads, using different browsers, and operating systems. A Permalink that follows posts displaying lots of images scrolls well short of the link's actual location in the thread. Example:

Big Disappointment at Big Sur, Sam Miller's post, #5

Probably a XenForo bug. Small potatoes but worth reporting.
 
I see that problem too. Good catch.

Update: Problem occurs with Safari on a Mac, but does not occur with Chrome on the same Mac.

For me it loads fine. This is not a software bug, but rather probably related to your connection speed, or how your browser interprets the images. Since the image size is not specified in the code (because these images have varying heights and widths), they load as a height of 0 until the image actually fills the reserved space for the image.

Anyway... not a bug.
