Halcyon SS plate with Pioneer wing.

The guys with the SO PSD team use Halcyon's SS plate with the Eclipse wing or ScubaPro's SS with the X-Tek, both 40# wing and cinch.

Most of us use dive with ST100 tanks and a couple still have AL80s.

DSS SS BP with DSS 35lbs wing for cold water diving. If I dove warm water I would use a smaller wing.

SS with 40lb wing for cold water (anything not tropics)
AL with 20lb wing for warm water (tropics)

Is nobody diving one of those lower priced SS BPs (usually mid to high $70s) from DGX or Piranha?
Anything wrong, or otherwise to consider with those?

DGX SS w DGX 25 Travel Wing
Deep6 AL w Deep6 30 Wing

DSS has never offered a "LCD17"

My mistake, it's a torus 17.

What are these improvements you speak of?

The 30 pound wing I have is wider and I think squarer than the new ones, and has a nylon strap that goes through the cambands and then fastens using a nylon quick-release buckle. It's not as convenient as the newer arrangement where there are separate windows for the upper and lower cambands.
