A thread I started generated some valuable discussion and links.

I'd like to consolidate some of that information in the original post for the thread, so people don't have to go scrolling around the thread aimlessly like lost ostriches.

But I don't see an edit button...is there...a way to make this work?

You have 24 hours to edit your posts here on ScubaBoard. If you want us to edit it, simply report the post with the updated text. The mods have the final say if/when a post gets edited.

I have the same request and have raised it in the suggestion area.

Just hoping that the moderators are ok with helping out editing on a regular basis.

Touch wood :).

They are! I posted this in your other thread, but since they are related, I'm going to copy the process here:

  • Hit the report button.
  • In the reasons box put "Please change text/title to read: "Insert complete updated text in quotes".
    • Please don't give directions on which word(s) to change as these are too easy to misunderstand.
    • Just give us the ENTIRE edited version of how you want it to read!
    • If you want us to change text and title, please send two reports. One report for each request.
  • This generates a thread in the Mod Squad which every mod can read.
  • If it's straightforward, some mod will jump right on it and deal with the request, usually within a few minutes.
  • If it's not-so-straightforward, then we'll discuss it and let you know our decision. Please be patient!
