I have not use FFM before. I believe it has been asked before how those boys equalize while sedated and strapped on the way out?

Underwood is not a cave diver but a caver and he has been in Thailand for a very long time. He, if anyone as an expat, knows the THAT particular cave system better than anyone and actuallly mapped it many years ago. If not for him, this incident would have ended with only ONE outcome; casualties.

He knows the cave system and if he say's the device will not work in this particular rescue, then he knows what he is talking about.

Who is Underwood and what’s his role in the rescue mission?

Who is Underwood and what’s his role in the rescue mission?

A british cave explorer who had mapped and explored the said cave system and was the one who alerted the Thai Authorities to get in touch with the British Cave Diving Rescue team immediately after a Thai Navy Seal dive team were lost for almost 24 hours after they too got lost in the early day's of the search for the football team and the coach.

He personally contacted the governor of the district who then contacted the Thai government who then contacted the British Embassy for help getting the British team over to Thailand as soon as possible.

His knowledge of the cave system was essential.

Just watched an excellent show on Australian ABC Four Corners program about the rescue. You should be able to watch it by going to the following web site, clicking on Categories and selecting News and Current Affairs and finding Four Corners. ABC iview
