Hi All

I am going to attempt to service my Dive Rite RG1208 ICE black first stage (image on the left). I would like to know if anyone can tell me if there is a heap of lube under the red environmental seal (manual does not show) ? Or is it just like the second image on the non-environmentally sealed first stage.

Thanks,

Thanks Runsongas!
Similar to below? Apeks DST manual

Yup, the 1208 is very similar to the DST first stage. If you hunt around online you can probably find a service manual for them. Dive Rite used to publish the service manuals so one should be pretty easy to find.

Thanks Tug
I have a manual, it shows everything except the above

Ahh, in that case, step 10 is the only difference with the disassembly :)

Yes, it is a dry environmental cap. The Dive Rite manuals I have don't cover the installation of the dry cap, but as shown above, the Apeks is very similar. After you are happy with the IP adjustment, do the final install of the dry cap and environmental seal with pressure on the regulator. When you depressurize, the environmental seal should depress a little bit.
