IDC

My daughter is a DM an wants to get her IDC during her winter break from college. She will be off school from December 20-January 28.

She is focusing on the Caribbean area. Can anyone recommend a quality IDC program that might have a course during her time off?

We prefer not to hear directly from the Program providers - just people who have attended a course and can give good feedback.

I did mine at Rainbow Reef in Key Largo, they have free accommodations while in class. It's a pretty sweet deal. That being said I should have chosen the instructor and not the location. That goes for pretty muc hanything really.

Seems like they take a break around the holidays.

I did my idc in Feb in Bonaire with Buddy Dive. The program was an amazing value.

Hi,

Rainbow Reef in Key Largo doesn't have their Jan 2019 schedule posted, but they run an IDC pretty much every month. I did my IDC Staff class there. It was held in conjunction with an IDC so I got to see the IDC students and participate in all of their course. I highly recommend it. I don't think that you can go wrong there. I personally did my IDC at my local dive shop with only one course director. I feel like the opportunity to work with and learn from multiple course directors is very beneficial.

One more vote for Rainbow Reef in Key Largo, FL. A comprehensive training program with a large and enthusiastic staff, which means lots of viewpoints and lots of hands on.
