I have an SDK400 and a Wisdom 3. My computer just will not read the computer. The Device Manager shows the cable when I plug it in. But the DC never shows up on my This PC menu. The DC knows it is plugged in as it starts the 120 second countdown. But it times out. My device manager says I have the up to date driver for the cable. Can you please help? Thanks
 
Try plugging in your USB download cable before you open the Sherwood dive log on your computer.
(1) Plug download cable into laptop and wait a few seconds until the computer finds the USB device
(2) Open Sherwood program on computer
(3) Plug USB into Sherwood Dive Computer and activate Dive Computer
(4) Cick on Add/Download new dives
(5) Start download

When I updated a laptop from XP pro to 7 pro I had the same problem you have. By trial and error I found these steps worked. The laptop I have now has Windows 10 Pro and it works with it too. See if this works for you.
