This Desco commercial diving helmet, is known as the Air Hat, or Desco Pot.
Serial number 521, manufactured 1980 and sold to Stroud Diving & Hydrography in Jacksonville, FL.
I will include a copy of an email from the owner of DESCO certifying it's origin.
The current replacement cost of this hat is $5800.00.
It has since been upgraded with a 4 wire comm port and a modern, double exhaust.
The comm cable is not installed, but is included in the sale.
The inner liner is clean and intact. The doughnut at the crown needs to be re-glued.
The helmet shows signs of use, consistent with its age. There is one inconsequential dent on the dome.
The plexiglass window has scratches which do not affect visibility, but can be buffed out.
The brass helmet ring is included, but there is no neck dam.
The hinges are in good condition.
This helmet is suitable for either commercial use or as a display item. DELIVERY NEGOTIABLE.
