We were out hunting lobster in Fort Lauderdale on a night dive last week and there was this odd looking species. I don't know if its some kind of anemone or something along those lines. It was picking off little fish as they swam by. Any ideas?

Looks like a Basketstar...hard to tell as where your light is is overexposed, but that is what the rest of it looks like. This would be better in the Critter ID forum....

Added: and there are two other animals in your picture: the Sponge on the crab's back, and the Gorgonian the crab is hiding under.
