God's Pocket is fully operational again!
We're excited to be writing this message with our fully approved and transferred Park Use Permit in hand
Less than a week ago, we met up with Bill and Annie in a quiet spot half way up Vancouver Island. We had a great time chatting about the resort, eating some homemade snacks, and things felt just like it had several times before. Only this time around one significant thing had changed. The transaction we had all worked hard to push across the line was finally, fully complete, and the resort had officially switched hands.
Through the mix of emotions, one thing was clear - we were more than excited to get past just planning, and start actually doing! We are incredibly grateful to everyone for their patience through the ambiguity, uncertainty, and delays, and now it's our turn to deliver some of that special sauce that is God's Pocket Resort. With Dan, Chris and Belinda kicking off the spring, we have a team of veteran off-grid dive operation pros ready to do just that.
Thank you to all those who took the time to fill our suggestion box with ideas on what to focus on in the couple months leading up to the spring season. We are working on a small renovation of the the website, and will be posting up a live calendar there very soon. If you'd like to have a photo or two showcased on the new site, please let us know. We'd love for you to share your experiences of GP to the rest of the world.
Another way we'll be communicating with you is through social media (read: instagram & facebook). We'll start by posting a little hello from the team, so you can get to know us all a little better before you arrive, and we'll continue by sharing some of the exciting things happening on the island over the next couple months.
We're also now finally opening up the calendar for the rest of 2019 (see below)!
Much of the year was already reserved from before, but there are some incredible diving weeks that are still available. There are also a couple trips that still have a few individual spots left, which I've indicated below.
