So... “snorkeler spat out by whale” - NOT “diver spat out by whale”. I never understand why news orgs can’t seem to understand the very big difference?

On the Sardine run (where this happened) lots of bait balls are just below the surface - and they're decimated in a short space of time, hence often you drop in with just your snorkels rather than dive gear
 
This is why whales are scary to me (at least up close and sharing space), not because they are going to purposefully harm me, but because I'm so small in comparison, they barely even register my existence. Glad everyone was safe!!!
