Just curious, can someone identify the regs used by the US Navy Dive School in this video? Look a lot like ScubaPro 109 knockoffs to me, but I know nothing about what they use. Skip to 2:02 in video for quick reference.

Can’t see the first stage, but it’s a US divers (before it was aqualung) maybe a Conshelf?

Conshelf 14. Still made today, available at American Divers Supply.

US Divers single hose regulators predates ScubaPro by almost ten years, so... But to be fair, most all the second stages at the time were round and shiny.

Def Conshelfs. There is a quick shot of a sailor with a bunch of first over his shoulder which are Conshelfs and then the good shot of the second at 2:03.

As a retired Navy Diver I can definitely confirm those are Conshelf XIV's. I used the same regs back in Dive School in 1991 and my last command I left is still using theirs. The Navy has tried and used other regs but this still is the go to regulator for most Navy Scuba Diving. In addition there are so many parts in the supply system they could probably build hundreds more and keep them going for another 50 years!

The most important regs in diving school were these:

"THE CHIEF IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

IN THE IMPOSSIBLE HYPOTHESIS THAT A SUBORDINATE MAY BE RIGHT, SEE ABOVE.

THE CHIEF DOES NOT SLEEP, HE RESTS.

THE CHIEF IS NEVER LATE, HE IS DETAINED ELSEWHERE.

THE CHIEF NEVER LEAVES WORK, HIS PRESENCE IS REQUIRED ELSEWHERE.

THE CHIEF NEVER READS THE PAPER IN THE HEAD, HE STUDIES.

THE CHIEF NEVER GOES ON LIBERTY WITH HIS JUNIORS, HE CONDUCTS TRAINING SESSIONS.

WHOEVER CONFRONTS THE CHIEF WITH AN IDEA OF HIS OWN, MUST LEAVE WITH THE CHIEF'S IDEA.

THE CHIEF IS ALWAYS THE CHIEF, EVEN IN HIS SHOWER SHOES."

Those apply elsewhere as well.

Or not raising your hand day one when the Master Diver asks who has their PADI certification already.
