Hello everyone, I looking to buy my first regulator and got interested in the Oceanic Delta 5

Delta 5

But would like to hear people's opinions about it

Best regards

Hi Ghost,

I have a CDX5/Delta 5 combo. It has been a good regulator. I replaced it with a Alpha 10

My Delta 5 was 12 years old and banged-up a little bit. A decade of use was enough for a life support system.

I chose not to replace it with another Delta 5 because I did not want to adjust the breathing knob anymore. Either a reg is adjusted correctly or it isn't.

Is the EDX first stage environmentally sealed?

All of my regs are Oceanic and they work very well. They are relatively inexpensive to get overhauled. My wife's ScubaPro is very expensive to get overhauled.

Good luck,
markm

Hello Mark, thank you for your reply! Glad to hear they work well

I think the EDX is sealed, but i'm not 100% sure.

Best regards!
