Atomic M1 jam nut size?

I'm in shock, is mine an anomaly? Did they change the size at some point I wonder...

I have an 11/16, a 3/4 and a 17 and they are all too small.

I'll look at the nut closer perhaps it's been damaged.

I can only assume there's two sizes of jam nuts possible

Bad picture - Is that a set screw? Maybe a pin-spanner hole to hold it?

Also, from what I have seen, it is a "thin wrench" to go in the recess between the hose nut and the part that is engraved.
There is supposed to be a nut ground in it there.

Is it possibly put together backwards, and that nut is inside the stage body?
