I always dive a drysuit, it's even cold in the summer below thermoclines.

Anyone know what the status with Lake Tenkiller is right now? There were some nasty storms here in Oklahoma this week near that area and was wondering if anyone knew if the dive conditions were ok or not. Or if the lake is even open haha

They usually do a dive report on their Facebook page as well.
Elmer Thomas was actually really good once you got below the floaty stuff last weekend. Pockets were in excess of 10 feet. Water was a little chilly but a good 3 mil was more than enough for me. No hood or gloves.

There is also Nautical Adventures that has a fill shack just up from the dive park. I don't know anyone there though. They just posted that i40 had reopened after the barges hit the lock/dam at Webbers Falls.

Just texted with a dive buddy that was at Tenkiller last Sunday. She reported 10 foot vis and high water. About the same as SW Missouri. I suspect this weekend should be about the same, with maybe a few more feet of water.
Stockton Lake is running 10-15 feet high at the moment, for reference.
She did not say how high Tenkiller was above normal levels.

Tenkiller is almost 18 ft. above normal, but visibility is 10-15 ft. and gets better the deeper you go. Surface temp is 68 degrees and 48 degrees at 100 ft. You can still see without a light at 94 ft.
