DM5 import problem

I was a happy SDM 1.6 user for almost 20 years and now I would like to change to DM5. Of course the first task is to import all the dives to DM5.

I found DM3.1 and managed to import the old .sdl divelog there and then exported the dives from DM3.1 to .sde file.

When I try to import the .sde file to DM5 nothing happens. No error messages - nothing. Ideas? Is there a program debug log somewhere to look at?
