The Edge 1100 looks identical to the DGX 600. I get that many lights of this type/price are rebranded lights and that's no problem. Does Edge just put in a brighter LED to get the extra 500 lumens? I also know lumen ratings can be a bit misleading, so perhaps effectively the two lights are identical. The run time for the DGX is less than the Edge, but perhaps the DGX's output stays higher for longer and the Edge decreases very quickly.

I am looking for a light that will work as a backup and also work well as the main light I take on night dives when I am vacation diving recreationally in the Caribbean with my wife. Any thoughts?

Ordered two DGX. One push button and one twist. Thanks for the replies.

My other advice is ditch the crappy 18650 batteries cells and buy quality Panasonic NCR18650B 18650 cells. You can find them from various vendors online on Amazon, just make sure they have good reviews and arent knock off batteries.

You'll get much closer to the 2 hour burntime with these batteries.
