How much lift do most of y’all require when you are diving doublke HP133s? I’m curious as to whether my wing does not have enough lift or, its bad fit for my tanks, with my aluminum back plate and no weight belt. I have a dive rite horseshoe rec wing. 60lb lift.

Most of my dives are in saltwater, in a 3mm wetsuit (I have a pretty solid tolerance to cold water).
I agree with Tom, you need to look at your rig configuration and see if, for some reason, your wing is not able to fully expand.

I have dove, off the NC coast, a set of double 130s, with an AL40 and an AL80, using an AL BP and a dual bladder Classic wing, and wearing a 5mm wetsuit suit. I have no issues with buoyancy in that rig. (I won't say it is balanced, but I have adequate lift.)

As for diving dry off the NC coast: I have dove my drysuit in the summer and, while it is toasty getting into the suit before the dive, and out of it after I am back on the boat, I was quite comfortable in the water. For that matter, I have dove the Oriskany (Gulf of Mexico) multiple times in in July, every time with 95+ degree temperatures AND 95+ percent humidity. Yes, I was quite warm on the boat, but was thankful for the suit at depth. Diving dry off the coast is doable, you just don't suit up until the last minute, and you get out of it quickly after you are back aboard. :)

That would be interesting to discuss....
Entanglement? Lost in a cave system? Rescuing somebody?
Do you have a near miss thread about this?

Thanks

Two issues occurred.
1) the boats tie in on the wreck failed, and 2) my insta buddy and I became separated.

The tie in point was not all that great for me to tie my up line off to, so I identified another point on the wreck, sent my marker up, tied it off, and began my trip to the surface with 20ish minutes of hang time. I’m pretty sure I posted this incident on a near miss thread

I think I really need to look at my wings ability to fully inflate, unfortunately I think it’s time for an upgrade to a duel bladder regardless.

Has anyone used the oms Trieste 60lb? My concern it’s abilty to fully expand
