FWIW, The OMS IQ-Lite pack is very similar to the DR Transpack, but may be slightly lighter with the aluminum hardware. You also can insert a plate into the IQ series for weight, rigidity, and/or twinsets.
Like @Diving Dubai pointed out, many manufacturers also offer bare-bones to "deluxe" harnesses that can be combined with plates of various types Hard (SS or AL - full, skeletonized, or dog-bone) or Soft, to suit your needs at the time.
