funny I’ve never tried under the tub faucet just the shower head which doesn’t work well, inflator mechanism gets in the way even with valve open... I’ll try it next time. thanks
Try that Wal-Mart toy a few posts up.

Slide the rubber cone onto the faucet, cut the shower thingy off the hose, and stick the hose in the inflator mouthpiece while pushing the deflate button. Should fill your bcd pretty fast.

When I'm not rushing up and down the street bc in arms trying to catch raindrops
I flush with gallons of hot to touch water having removed the dump valve to avoid

whereby everything when cooled goes into the garden fully inflated to dry the inside and to feed these

Unscrewing dump valves and inflator hoses at the BCD to actually let the water in and out fast enough

so as not to fall asleep for a lifetime

and then screwing them back again

To the OP, I would suggest you check your manufacturer's instructions. If I remember correctly, most do NOT recommend using hot water. I know my current one does not:

"Rinsing
Every time you use the BC in salt or chlorinated water,
it should be rinsed thoroughly inside and out with fresh
water. Never use hot water for rinsing!"
