Don’t you have fill “vendingmachines”? Put some change in, get them filled and next time you go for a fill at the lds they won’t be empty.

Not sure if you are joking, or machines like that really do exist.

It's probably not a rocket science to design one, but unless it can also read hydro stamps and vip stickers, it would be an enormous liability.

this is a bigger one with 200 and 300 bar fills and air and nitrox. There are a lot of them that only offer 200bar air.

for nitrox you do need coins from a dive shop, they check your C-card. Air is possible with money.

Wow! Suba regulations (and possibly laws of physics :)) in Europe must be completely different than those in the US.

Here, LDS checks the hydro stamp before filling a tank, because otherwise it can blow the place up! Apparently not a concern in Europe, unless those machines are capable of scanning the hydro stamp.

Who ya gonna blow up? Not the shop employee, not the store, doesn’t look like a passerby, either.

That's amazing! Wow that's neat. We will never have the mentality required to do something like that in the states. I can see it now, teenage kid trying to put 5000 psi in his paintball tank through a garden hose.

It would be great to have one of those set up for certified / trusted divers at / outside the dive shop. If they caught you filling past hydro your banned for life.....but it would happen, no doubt.

Aren't there a few similar (crude) "self fill" options in "Cave Country"?
Not crude at all.
