North Carolina/Virginia Technical Instructor refrences

Does anyone have any experience with the two dive operations in North Carolina? Specifically looking for good tech instructor.

No experience with those two shops but I dive with a group by Richmond called Narq'd. I didn't do AN/DP with them but they would be a good option to talk to and figure out a plan that works for you.

I have never done instruction through Discovery, but have dived with them. I know they do a lot of stuff geared towards GI Bill recipients if that's relevant in your case.

It is somewhat between NC and Richmond, but have heard good things about Dev Spradlin with 418 Scuba in Hampton, VA. On my list of instructors to talk to regarding some training I am heading towards. Also Jason Nunn, near Morehead NC if I remember correctly. PM me if you need contact info.

I did all my tech training with Jon Belsario. I feel like he was really thorough. He never got in a hurry and was more interested in making sure that I learned the skills than just "pushing me through." He was with Olympus Dive Center in Morehead City (I preferred them to Discovery). Jon is now instructing independently and is located in Wilmington, NC. Highly recommended.
