They are both just predators looking for a meal - but the eagle made a mistake - and he got lucky!
 
Would have liked to have seen the actual release - separation of the eagle and octopus. Those suckers usually don't want to let go unless they want to let go (bad pun intended.)
 
It’s not easy to suck on feathers fortunately. However, the wrapping tentacles could be deadly if the fishermen didn’t help the bald eagle to untangle it from the tentacles. Kudos to the fishermen.

The hatchery is in Quatsino, BC. . . I thought Port Hardy was on the edge of the known universe, clearly, I was wrong
