David Frye was my instructor, through Underwater Works in Tigard, Oregon, a PADI shop. Confession: I did not certify on my first attempt in August. I lost my weight belt (slid off due to compression of two layers of 7mm wetsuit, at about 32 feet at Hoodsport.) David brought me up using the emergency buoyant ascent. So I had a little adventure on my very first day in OW! But, I went at it again this month, and made it. (Still thought I was going to throw-up a couple times, but thankfully I didn't.) I'm signed up for the Peak Performance Buoyancy in a couple of weeks, so will be back to Hoodsport in January to do those dives. I will be doing that with Gretchen Slack, also through Underwater Works.Welcome to the family! Who did you do your dive certification with?
