Hello,
Going to Wailea in Maui this March and I am interested in recommendations for dive operations.
I am AOW and my 3 adult children are OW PADI certified.
I read about both shore and boat diving in this area.
Since we will be travelling with 2 non divers ( but avid snorkelers) operations that are close to the area and limit time away from condo is important.
Any suggestions/advice?

Since you have a mix of divers and snorkelers, you might want to check out the Maui Spearfishing Academy. I did a day of basic freediving/spearfishing for invasives last year in March and had a great time. Good operation with friendly guides. It is something a little different.

I have dove with Prodiver on about 8 dives over the past couple of years and have had good times. We also went with a DM from Maui Diving as well, for a guided shore dive. There was a DM that was with ProDiver (I think his name was Scott) that purchased B&B Scuba and will dive at least one day with them. We always stayed in Lahaina and drove over there to dive. These are close to where you will be staying.

I would highly recommend Maui Dreams Dive Co I’ve been diving in Maui for 9 years now and by far they were the best experience I’ve had. It’s actually funny how I came across them I had several days worth of diving booked with Maui Dive Shop and their boat blew a seal on the jet drive and we had to be escorted back from Molokini by the Coast Guard, after searching for awhile I found Maui Dreams and have been diving with them every time I’m on that side of the Island.

If your looking for a good dive to take the snorkelers I would recommend Molokini it’s a fun dive and great for the snorkelers. If you can sneak away I would highly recommend doing the backside of Molokini, the cathedral’s and Lanai, or doing the hammerhead dive with Lahaina Divers.
