Serious question, Nitrox and extended erections

1) Did you lose weight since Nitrox certification
2) Did you get a Boob job since Nitrox certification
3) Did you get a new wetsuit since Nitrox certification
4) Did you get new underwear or swimsuit since Nitrox certification

If above answers are all No, please answer the question below.

5) Diving from Shore or Boat were there lots of scantily dressed females on shore or boat?

If all answers are No.
Prescription: dive Air or Nitrox as required for preferred performance.
Carry lube in your dive bag for Nitrox days.

I have the same issue as your husband. I haven't seen a difference between air and nitrox. I assumed it had to do with the nitrogen buildup in the body.
As many posters have observed. Nitric oxide is not Viagra. Viagra triggers the body to uptake nitric oxide.
Anyone who has studied chemistry knows nitrogen compounds easily change state while breaking down.
I've always assumed that the nitrogen was making different compounds in the bloodstream due to saturation level.
I actually find the erection issue LESS with nitrox. Which I assumed had to do with less nitrogen saturation. Go figure."

You are right. It is the nitrogen buildup in the body, and it gets worse with Nitrox because we are diving more and longer. Since I started this, we went to Bonaire again, and same issue. We dive about 60 minutes 3 to 5 times a day for five days, so maybe that's why.

Nitrox is just higher oxygen concentration in breathing gas. By-product of nitrox inhalation is still the same CO2, not nitric oxide.

Well we are currently in the Cayman Islands and because of this thread I dove NITrox 32% this morning, didn’t feel a thing stirring down there. You never did say what percent he was using haha
