Hey guys.
Any idea when and why TDI increased Helitrox limits from 20% He to 35%?
That sounds like a good news but quite odd to only dive to 45m/150ft.
Just being curious.

Mark Powell had mentioned the change here and I messaged him to ask the reason for the change. Two reasons : other agencies have standard mixes with 35% helium (21/35) and some divers want a shallow END.

Depth is still 150ft.

21/35 is a standard mix with a MOD of 45m

Easily mixed with 32% top up

My guess is adhering to DAN's ideal max gas density of 5.2 g/L. 21/35 at 45 meters is just over 5.
