Well, do we really know that? It's no joke above that cmf/leaky valves and orifices can't get CE. So, what pockets did Triton grease to get it?
What was stated above about CE cred might be true.

Maybe we are wrong to think the CE is not applicable to leaky valve. On the Triton, the valve, unlike the KISS valve or similar, is not fed by a single hose.
I am not ready to fall into the conspirancy trap there

Funny, I only have an old Beetle (yes you have a Mustang and I have a little Beetle ) and it goes through the MOT without me having to grease anybody hand...

I spoke to someone who does CE testing today. Mccr have never passed CE. Even they didn't know how the Triton passed.

This was 1992 and if your beetle was in the shape of my mustang, it wouldn't have passed on its merits either.

Maybe you should talk to the certification agency RINA. Excellence Behind Excellence.
Anyway, I don't understand your fight here as we are talking about the Optima CM.
You should welcome the reference to the Triton as it validates the pertinence of front mounted rebreather and its good wob, mesured or not

You won't find any WoB data for the Triton either.

Yes there is, published on the manufacturers website for 100M with a 10/90 dil 1.75 J/L with 797 spec sofnolime.

People can we stop with the conspiracy theories and for our own safety stick with the publicly available facts. It took me less than 2 minutes searching online to find that data about the Tritons certified WOB.

Bottom line, Triton passed EN 14143, it has CE, the burden of proof is firmly now on you to back up your conspiracy theories.

Hmm. That's a drag. Is there no public documentation on the Triton's cert that shows how that requirement was "satisfied"?

Just to note that EN testing is conducted between the test body and the commercial entity/company. Its not a public process. Its also an expensive one, circa €500,000, and if your unit fails, its embarrassing for that company. For these reasons and others, some manufacturers don't bother going into the European market.
