Fiber optic adapter

Anyone have experience with the fiber optic adapter that comes with the PT-059? It seems like some of the flash still comes through and would light up backscatter so I’m wondering if I should get something like the AOI adapter found here

Yes this is a good idea and also if you get to use a wide angle wet lens , the cord wont be in the way
I use it and I am very happy with it

No problem with light leakage and back-scatter with the fiber optic adapter that comes with the housing.

However, as Patrick said, if you plan to use a wide angle wet lens, the cords are in the way when using the original adapter.

It looks like the replacement is screwed on and not easily removed. No way to remove quickly and use the camera's flash. Less likely to lose.

It's cheap enough to have and carry as backup.
