I am 74, and started diving in 1959 (you can do the age calc). I'm still diving, but due to COVID19-19 and no lifeguards at my dive site this year (they couldn't do the training necessary), I've stopped solo diving until probably next summer. I dive locally, in Oregon. I just never stopped.

Not her then. The lady I'm thinking of traveled alone. I'm guessing she was somewhere in her 80s and had been diving since before there was such a thing as scuba certification.

On the boat ride out I heard her say that she was going to dive until she was 90. Didn't think much of it, she didn't appear to be close to 90 to me.I listened to stories about diving around the world. We did our SI at Palancar and she took a taxi back to town. That is when I found out she was 89.
