Synthetic grease for Scubapro 1st stage

Has anyone ever used this to "environmentally seal" an SP Mark IX, etc.

if you don't need it o2 clean, then it will work. it is a base silicone grease with some ptfe added.

Not sure if it is available in US: it is the "Amzon's Choice" for "Sylicon Grease" here in Italy.
It is pure silicon grease without additives, totally stable for years.
When I service the reg I find it totally umodified.

Thanks Angelo. I'm not finding it in the US though. What do you use to clean that out of your regulator when you service it?

Those rolls of paper, here we call them Scottex paper.

The web site made the product sound sticky. I was thinking some sort of solvent. But after I posted the question I realized that you don't have to be concerned with completely removing the silicone. sorry.

The silicon grease is not sticky. It is some sort of gel, you remove it easily.
Then you wash the metal parts in an ultrasonic bath, or simply in water plus some WC-cleaning product.
Then wash again with fresh water, and apply silicon again...

Dow Corning 111 or the new name Molykote 111 works very well and last a long time.

Thanks guys. I have a few products I can easily get now. I have an old reg that I got from an "estate" that I just use to inflate car tires. It's acting wonky so I'm going to try and work on it. If all goes well I may repack my good Mark IX. No one seems to want to do it if I send the reg for service.
