Nice video , I was there Jan. 2007, a great trip. I need to go back with my new camera gear.
Glad you had a good trip.

We got lucky in Roca Partida. Spent 2 days there. I think we got there a few days before you did. Besides the usual suspects, we saw schooling hammerheads, whalesharks, schooling of yellowfin tunas, etc.
Way cool. Timing & luck factors in greatly. I heard from another group who was there a week after us (different boat) and they had:

1. Rough crossings
2. Rain most days
3. Only a few Whitetips and not much else at Roca
4. No Mantas
5. Very few sharks.

Go figure.

Great report and thanks for taking the time to share! My first trip to Socorro was Nov. 2020 and it was magnificent. I assumed that the abundance of large pelagics was the norm, but after reading some other posts about low numbers of sightings, I feel fortunate my trip was so great.
