just get some steel wire and a 1/4 inch rod from home depot and crimp your own

I saw the thread on here about someone doing that, but would that fit into skinny neck tanks? He used JB Weld to attach the strand to the rod and some thin line wrapped around.
 
yes, just get relatively thin/flexible wire like 24 or 26 AWG. i would crimp rather than jb weld them on though

same process, you just overlap about an inch of the bundle of wires over the end of the rod, slip the ferrule over, then crimp everything down.
 
It's all in the eye of the beholder! Just don't tell them it's for scuba...it'll get the scuba tax!
 
Anyone care to share pictures of their DIY cleaning whips? Just getting some more ideas, thanks.
