DiveAssure website is now offering options for Primary or secondary coverage (with significant price differences).

It doesn't explain what the real differences are between the two. As I understand, the secondary coverage will only apply after the primary coverage is exhausted.

But what does it mean in practical terms?
Say if I am hospitalized and my primary insurance doesn't pay directly, will DiveAssure step in and pay the bills? Or do I have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by DiveAssure?

Can someone please explain?
Thanks.
