What does everyone use on their workbench when working on regulators? Towel, blanket, neoprene mat?

I just got done with a regulator course and the neoprene mat was more useful than I anticipated.

A towel may be a good option for preventing those itty-bitty o-rings from taking a walk.

Shelf liner with smooth surface (not mesh) for assembly/disassembly.
Drying is done on dinner plate covered with paper towel for small pieces, larger pieces are dried sitting on a towel.

I have a large self healing mat over my bench.

I place down a ‘road map’ towel (I traced out the components and associated orings) for dry components.

Helps keep orings organized, and see if a service kit is missing one....
