Ron here is a new problem a friend is having with his Cobalt.
His Cobalt 1 went to deco after about 20 minutes into his first dive of the day. The whole dive was 42 min. Most of the dive was shallower than 70 fsw with only a quick drop (early on) down to 93 fsw for less than 5 min total time...
The Federal Judge in the case denied Aqua Lung's bid to dismiss that case: Judge Denies Dismissal for Aqua Lung Lawsuit – ScubaGadget – Scuba News Service
I have contacted and received replies from historians at the Naval History and Heritage Command and the director of the Naval Undersea Museum. After checking on this they can find nothing to confirm that SKIN diving has any relation to Swim Kit is Need or any other Navy acronym.
An instructor we know vehemently claims that like the word S.C.U.B.A., "SKIN" as in skin diver is also an acronym. I cannot find anything about this searching the web. Can anyone confirm or refute this?
Thank you,
John
One more thing... I didn't had this problem with my Suunto Cobra. But if anyone has, the lawyers listed on the suit are interested in talking with you.
Thank you tbone1004. The bungee system did make sense. That was the easy part of the system. The instructor figured that and most of it out well enough. It was just that some things e.g. what weight pockets and where to place them were a bit confusing. The instructor is very well respected and...
I have and am currently reading the entire court filing, and contacting the involved parties. I will have more on this soon.

We just started a recreational sidemount course. For a few reasons we are using the ScubaPro sidemount system. Does anyone know this system? Even our instructor who is the most respected in our area was seeing it for the first time and somewhat confused by the ScubaPro system. We are looking to...
Recently someone posted a photo on Facebook with text that read,"No one who offers $99 scuba courses does so because they want to create better divers."
I thought this was an important topic for an intelligent discussion. A founder of the one of the training agencies recently told me that he...
Are the XS Scuba Fabers built inside and out exactly the same as the Blue Steel white tanks except for color? Do you offer the XS Faber tanks with the left and right pro valves or rebreather valves like Blue Steel?

We just heard...
A rep from a competing regulator company keeps insisting that Scubapro regulators are made in China and not in Italy. I thought they were made in Italy and I can't find any evidence to the contrary. I would like to hear from someone who know for sure. Where are Scubapro Regulators made (parts...
I am reviewing Jill Heinerth's book "The Basics of Rebreather Diving" for ScubaGadget. I would like to get some comments from CCR divers who have read this book. What do you think those interested in or new to rebreathers would get from this book? If you are a rebreather instructor, have you...
