Any news about Shearwater Cloud Desktop release date?

I suppose the most flexible solution is to get a 5510.16 port body, and all the extensions 5510.50, .54 and .58. That way I could try all lengths at half inch increments and see which works the best. This is not of course the cheapest way to do it...:D

the 8" dome with extrawide body works perfectly with the Tokina 10-17. you need to be careful to avoid flare though at 10 mm. the same port does work also with the canon 60 mm macro at close distances but the lens will not focus beyond a few meters, not in autofocus anyway. you can use the zoom...

Indeed, the LED lights on the DS161 do not quite give wide enough coverage for the Tokina fisheye at 10mm, even if you have two of them. If you zoom the Tokina to 17mm and get really close (like fishes almost touching your dome), then they would be OK. The video lights probably would suit well...
