If they have an empty room I can't see them not putting you up for the night. If they won't West End and West Bay have a number of low cost rooms for the night. But once you factor in the cost of the cab fare it isn't as cheap anymore.

I am sure this is a formula somewhere... but generally it is the equivalent of GST and any PST you have. When I was in NS it was close to 20%, and now here in ONT it was $45 on a $500 order.

In my case it was equivalent to look at an all inclusive with airfare built in. I won a trip to Utila for a week and I am staying in Roatan for a week beforehand because it was only a couple hundred dollars more.

Have to agree - people talk really highly of the social dive scene in Roatan's west end.

Not trying to hijack, just curious if anyone has dove = Los Jardines de la Reina (The Queen's Gardens)? Supposed to be a very healthy marine park area but the dive ops sites seem to paint too rosy of a picture...
