Please refresh my memory on valve names / identifications.

Thanks ! Spank me, correct me where am failing the lesson... CGA850 is the industry norm name for U.S.A. only. XS is a brand, not a standard; manufactures two types of valves ; The XSscuba and the Thermo. None are DIN, and none are CGA850, but may replace CGA850. Both are...

Please refresh my memory on valve names / identifications.

Hello. The only valves I used are the CGA850. Am lost in space for the names of other styles and their true 'industry' names. I believe this is called XS ? And the following is the XS mod ? What is the name of the one that the regulator threads-in; no adapter ? Of european use ? Where to...

    Thinner 'O' rings ?

Greetings. Always remember/identify/used to the size of "O" rings in the tank valves just by looking at them. Now got to play with a valve branded 'Ocean Dynamics' and noticed smaller thinner (yellow) rings. Is there two sizes for CGA850 ? Removed, compared with my spares, and yes...

Hi all. Anyone knows the brand, model, whatever information in order to find a picture on the web ? It was a speargun with a 'horse size' veterinarian hypodermic needle tip, and a CO2 cartridge. Capability of regulators ?

Hello. Regulators have a fixed capability manufacturers have to comply with, or they decide the litres per minute/cubic feet per minute they can supply at 150 psi ? I believe the regulated pressure delivery is standard, right ?🤔

Question for anyone actively using a Cornelius compressor, please.

Regards. Pardon for asking the same again; but would like to clarify once for all, as I had no confirmation last time. It is about the oil shown in the level window. Obviously, it is intuitively filled to the 'full' marking line as any other lubricated machine. ----> What oil level shows...

    Simple questions on tank age...

Hello, good day ! You bought a new 80 cuft. aluminium tank in March-2004. You used it a dozen dives that season and got its parking spot in your closet. You had it out-of-the-closet, hydro tested in Oct-2007. It got an approval stamp 10-07 and a decal for good visual. After that, went again...

I did not know this about oxygen...

Thanks, tmassey. Yes, sounds reasonable... almost. I have a problem with quantification. For a droplet of fuel, a "wisp of a petroleum based lubricant" to create an explosion havoc, the military would be better designing their weapons using drops of lubricants with the formulated oxygen...

I did not know this about oxygen...

Thank you. I was looking for a 'backpressure valve 2670100 operation' ; was directed to a site with a Stewart-Warner compressor manual ----> https://www.liberatedmanuals.com/TM-5-4310-226-15.pdf and saw the subject on page 2 safety. Your responses confuse me more. Light, please.

    What exactly makes a compressor oil-less ?

Hi. Which way it is built; how does the friction is dealt with ? What components are in there that use no lubrication ? Any internal pictures ? I believe Rix and Bauer make oil-less types... a mystery to me how can they work with no lubrication. Light please ?
