Parents sue Boy Scouts for 2011 negligence death

Markmud, many of us who are DM's and instructors are reconsidering our commitment. You can bet on that. Some of us have been victims of witchhunts conducted by competing stores and individuals out for revenge. Action without due process is the name of the game. One must manage documents AND...

Fantasea CP-6 Housing for Canon Coolpix 4600

Thanks, Jack. I was writing from work and trying to slam in the posting without double-checking. Gee, you would think I would know my own camera. Unfortunately, no matter what my verbage, it appears there is no housing available. Having been discontinued, the supply seems to have dried up.

    6/13/09 Beach Dive, Hollywood Rockpile

Jenny, We are you planning to park and meet? My wife and I may dive with you, if we can settle a child care issue. We have a non-diving 9-yr-old daughter with us and no one else to leave at home. Tom

Meet n Greet Dive and Picnic 5/16/09

Thanks, Deb. By the way, everyone, the crew of the Deep Relief run out of US1 Scuba were a great help. They help set up the training scenarios and assisted in making the day great for us. Not to mention putting us right on top of the Rodeo 25 for a spectacular deep dive. Thanks Robbie and guys!

Meet n Greet Dive and Picnic 5/16/09

Sorry we missed you at the bridge, gang. Dan and I expected to have to come up there to do our Rescue Diver class, since we did not think the boat would leave the dock. That changed when the Cap'n got a report that waves had diminished, so we ground our way through the "diminished" waves...

Blue Heron Bridge @ Low Tide?

It is rarely good. Almost always, low and outgoing tide brings murky conditions, extremely poor visibility that ruins an otherwise great dive. At its worst, you end up inching along, not sure exactly where you are, running into or touching inadvertently things that are best left alone. I've...

Where did you solo dive today?

Dove Hollywood Beach, FL at night to do some spearfishing. It is allowed under certain conditions (relative to bagging the fish before swimming and walking among bathers). Outgoing tide reduced visibility, but still got enough snapper for dinner. A half moon lit the water when I surfaced...

    South Florida Beach Dives

The weather has been crappy recently but is supposed to settle this weekend. I strongly suggest Lauderdale-by-the-Sea for the easiest, prettiest first shore dive in South Florida. Pompano Dropoff is great but a long kick out for a beginner beachdiver. Other great sites only minutes south of...

    New KY Diver from Florida

Well, I must say I have enjoyed this thread. I am a current FL diver who presently lives three blocks from the water and shore dives the reefs at least 5-6 times weekly, BUT career requirements being what they are, I am considering returning to Louisville for a job opportunity. It helps to...
