I saw the flick the other day and I reckon it was good. This is my take on things... curious to hear what everyone else will think when it comes. Counting down the days... going to see it again with my mates. Agnes Milowka: Review of the Sanctum Movie

    Diving historic shipwrecks of Victoria

I'm currently doing a series of blogs about shipwrecks in Victoria, in particular those that are archaeologically significant and make for interesting and unusual dives. You might enjoy if you're into wrecks... or want to know more about diving around Victorian waters in Oz. Diving the...

    Nomad with BM Doubles

I use a Nomad for both SM and BM no probs. There was a period of time when I drove down to the dive site not knowing if I will be diving BM or SM - I had the tanks for both in the car and with the Nomad in hand I was ready to dive either one, depending on the buddy on the day. I thought it...

    Diving ocean caves in Australia

Super glad you found the info useful. Hope you have a great time on your visit to Oz! Thanks Joel... it's all about taking one dive at a time. You don't exactly live in a bad part of Oz either, lots of great diving to be done on the West Coast. Jealous you have Ningaloo Reef and the Nullarbor...

    Diving ocean caves in Australia

You don't have to be a cave diver to get a taste of diving inside an overhead environment. Ocean caves offer a chance for those curious about caves to see what all the fuss is about, without getting too far away from the light zone and safety. Even if cave diving isn't you, the abundant marine...

    The land of Oz

If you are in NSW I would head to the Blue Mountains and swing by Jenolan caves. It is reasonably popular with tourists but well worth visiting. The Blue Mountains are really beautiful and there are some great walks and the caves are spectacular. Hope you are enjoying your visit.

    Tech fin question

No right answer, try to play around with a few before buying. Personally I really like the DR fins. They are awesome in strong current and they let me get places in a hurry. Allow all kinda of kicks with ease. I used to have jetfins, still do, but hardly ever use them. They are just super heavy.

    Where's the boat incidents

Dumpsterdiver you had a bull shark circling around you - you win. "it is amazing how quickly you get sad and lonely floating out there" - spot on.

    Where's the boat incidents

Thanks Kevin. Wow, that's some story, at least you guys didn't hit land in the middle of the night. That would have made things go from bad to worse.

    Where's the boat incidents

haha, not exactly what I had in mind. Sounds like they can make some noise... if I was 16 I'm sure I would be a huge fan of the boys. :)

    Where's the boat incidents

I think it’s fair to say that floating out on a vast expanse of sea, waves crashing over your head, no boat in sight and no land to drift ashore to, is one of the scariest experiences one can have while diving. I've had my fair share of 'where's the boat incidents' I have heard stories of...
