I have a BRAND NEW Atom 3.0 dive computer & 2 black wireless transmitters to go with it. This is a complete buddy system kit so you can monitor your buddy's air at the same time!
Everything is brand new, still in the original plastic & box. The dive computer is still in "factory hibernation"...
Awesome, thanks for that link!
Seems we can get a reasonably cool 20-25 min tour for $150-$200.
Would love to go the full hour for $450 each, but that's a bit too rich for my blood lol
So as I plan on a Key Largo dive or snorkel trip, I'm trying to think of anything else to do.
Diving the reefs and eating the freshest seafood everyday is really the only priority lol
But then it dawned on my that a helicopter ride around Key Largo and the Keys to see the reefs from the air...
Ok that's good info, thank you!
Is there good reef diving in Curacao?
Warm water, shallow reef diving is really all that I'm interested in.
Living in Cleveland, Ohio, it would be nice to have a really nice warm weather get away during the cold winter months that has good reef diving.
Also...
From my research, a lot of the southeast Florida area, Keys, Bahamas etc are better for diving in the summer time.
So is Curacao really nice enough to dive in the winter time to make it a worth while destination during the cold months?
Are there any other really nice islands that are worth...
So St. Croix seems to be the place for shallow reef diving.
How deep are the reefs in St. Croix?
How is the diving in the winter time? I know the summer months are better for diving in areas like the Keys, and wondering if St. Croix would be nice enough to dive in the winter months since it's...
Ok sounds like the summer time in Fort Lauderdale is what I'm going to start really digging deep on.
I don't know if I want to see sharks lol, aren't great whites off the coast of Florida a certain time of year?
That blackbeard liveaboard sounds really cool. I'll have to see how good the...
I'd say that's the budget for both people. We would be flying from Cleveland, Ohio.
How much diving is an open-ended answer as this will be our first time, but as much as possible for the budget we're working with. But I'd say maybe 2-3 dives a day, which can include some snorkeling.
I...
Hmm yeah all of those seem to be around that $900 mark. I may have to add the metal regulator down the line.
Was I right to move away from the Mares regulators based on my friends suggestion?
So I'm looking to go on vacation in the spring/summer with my 14 year old son. I want to get us both certified to dive prior to that, including open water cert and be ready to go.
I'd like to have the option of snorkeling, but diving would be the main event.
I'm hoping for something...
I was always told that metal regulators allow a bit of condensation and help rid of the cotton mouth you get while diving.
I had a pair of Mares Prestige metal regulators, but sold them on the advice of a friend who worked in a dive shop for a while when she told me Mares support sucks and...
