Welcome to SB! I don't know what you are looking for in a submerged ghost town, but when they created Smith Moutain Lake here in VA they never cleared the houses, poles, trees, anything. Not sure if that would interest you. Happy diving!
I'm heading out to Rawlings for the first time ever tomorrow and I was just wondering if anyone else was going, how's the water been temp wise and any tid bits I should know. Happy diving!
I have found one advantage to having pink & black fins, my buddy can still see me in a low viz quarry. Other than that, I am just happy they fit perfect. As for the tank size issue, I found that using a AL63 instead of an AL80 works great if you are a bit on the short side like I am. :)
I was once told I would never be able to dive. I spent 30 years with my ears not being able to pop. And I mean no matter what was tried, no popping. I remember the first time I flew, the pain was excruciating and I landed not being able to hear for 30 minutes. I brought this up to numerous ENTs...
One of these days I want to make it to the places you guys have been to, but so far my whale shark experiences have been somewhat confined. I got the chance to dive with 4 whale sharks (and a few hammerheads and manta rays) in the Georgia Aquarium this past March. It was an awesome experience...
Make sure to keep us posted on how things are going. I hope your wife's ENT appointment goes well tomorrow and good luck with your certification.
Happy Diving! :)
