thanks, I ordered the 20mm part from Shapeways, looking forward to trying it out in may. I do like the nerd at the far edge of my vision of my left eye.

If I understand this correctly the 20mm piece would kick the Nerd over approx 3/4"

I ordered both and thought the defender was a little more robust and the cover seemed to snap in place a little more positively. I thought it was worth 9 more bucks, so I returned the other one. yrmv

dont get the " Monstrum scope cover" the Defender is better made.

I use a Vortex Defender 0-24 hinged scope cover. hinged cap, stainless spring and snug fit.

I use the Vortex scope cover, it has a stainless spring and is holding up very well. I like the hinge pivot at the 9 o clock position.

I had trouble with the Nerd moving around on the DSV. I Glued a thin strip of sandpaper on the snap on mount for some "traction" against the body of the DSV. Also got some clips from AP to secure the Nerd cable along the loop hose. The Nerd moves around a lot less now. Pics posted

I got this one from AP Diving. Absolutely love it. just fill it off an air tank and not waste the expensive mixed gas.
