You are correct... there is a chance that it was not speared.. But, I for one see all the clues in the photo that proclaims it was probably speared.. Hole in the shark... Dive computer on his wrist says he was diving and not fishing.. And claiming it to be Capt. Ken's catch... and even then...

No the Classic Plus is more of a vest style. Unchanged for close to 25 years.. I got the same one I am selling.. Chest pockets, D-rings up and down, integrated and camlock buckle..

If you look at the habitat and range of GWS, you will find that they can show up most anywhere in Florida... Same with Whalesharks; not common, but they do show up on occasion..

As for schools.. I can only attest to Saint Lucie County.. public schools here are great... But we are also firm believers that the parents involvement is 80% of how your children will do in school and our kids are performing very high.. You get out of it, what you put into it..

We have started to see them show up sporadically.. No aggregation yet, but we are seeing them on about every third dive. And we keep doing bounce dives on the three spots they aggregate.. Will let you know as soon as we see any in those spots..
