    Scubapro SPG Failure

Firstly, to take the safety issue out of the way, I will not be using this SPG on dive trips, it is just a fun little experiment. On the technicla side, you're theoretically right. But little chemistry that I remember, the few molecules of acid in a drop of 6% dilution of acetic acid will react...

    Scubapro SPG Failure

A little update. I injected a few drops of vinegar in it, pressurized it and voila! It got unclogged and works as new. The vinegar will most likely never come out of the coiled tube, but it will chemically balance with the brass, as all the acetic acid will react with the copper, consuming a...

    Scubapro SPG Failure

That's how I'd do it if it still worked, but right now it's just scrap metal :)

    Scubapro SPG Failure

Here are some pics of the thingie. You decide which one is more failure proof :) I also don't buy the "tempered glass is better than plastic" marketing. Polycarbonate is practically bulletproof, it only gets scratches, but scratches miraculously vanish under water.

    Scubapro SPG Failure

First of all, sorry for digging out a old thread. I've just had an Aqualung SPG die on the surface with no warning and no reason, stuck to zero forever, and that brought me here. Being an curious prick, I didn't let the opportunity of tearing it down slip. I was prepared to dremel it open, but...

    ScubaPro MK11, R395 and R295 service manuals

Then I guess I'll reheat it and persuade it back to straightish. Thank you! Also, may I dare DM you about the service manual and schematics for this thingy?

    ScubaPro MK11, R395 and R295 service manuals

Can anybody tell what is the purpose of the thin teflon-like shim between the cap and the membrane holder in R295? I kind of ruined one on a regulator bought from ebay. The whole regulator had a nasty mold odor that wouldn't go away, so I finally resorted to immersing the parts in boiling-hot...

    Mares Cruise Roller Bag Question?

Later review of the Mares Cruise Roller. After near 25 uses, I'm utterly dissapointed. This bag has proven quite a poor build quality in the end. The upper part came off as the fabric gave away from the seams. Some parts of this bag are actually made from a very poor material - thin nylon...

After near 25 uses, the upper part came off as the fabric gave away from the seams. Some parts of this bag are actually made from a very poor material -...

    Mr32t

So, basicly, the new 22 will be better than the old 22, but not quite as good as the now gone 32. On the other hand, the specs for the 32 says it has an inhaling pressure of 6bars while the 42 has an inhaling pressure of 7,2bars. Doesn't this make the 32 a better reg then the 42 in terms of...

Does anybody know why the MR32T first stage is no longer in the Mares product list? And which first stage should be it's successor?

    Mares Cruise Roller Bag Question?

I have had one of these bags for a year now. It held all of my equipment (5mm neoprene, bcd, regs, abc-s PLUS the clothes for a one week trip to Hurghada - so i'm very pleased with it. Since it has no hard sidings, telescopic handle and other fragile parts it's not prone to breaking and it can...
