According to local news there has been a fatality in the Plura cave system in Norway. American diver confirmed dead.

The diver supposedly was unconscious approx. 100 ft inside the cave and was brought out and received emergency first aid...
My poseidon xstream breathe smooth regardless of wheter I sip or breathe heavy. Maybe you should get the ip checked and the regs tuned. I have it set to 120 psi which is just a tad lower then the factory spec of 123.
I also got a chapstick style lubricant with my fourth element drysuit with a YKK plastic zipper. Pretty much the same instructions for care as in the santi manual.
Did a dive with my new excellerators, amazing fins! But the nylon strap was still a bit difficult to get on and off, so I've upgraded to the bungee straps know. I would definitely recommend to go with the bungee.
Anyone tried the Molykote 55 o-ring grease? It's recommended in the kirby morgan service manual, but it has a distinctive odour to it so maybe that will be an issue.
I hope to get my new to me, second hand excellerators tomorrow. They have the regular nylon strap so I will try that out again. Had these straps on a pair of extra force fins 15 years ago, but preferred the bungee. Maybe I change my mind.
What I did when I used them was to flip/invert the glove seal onto the glove itself. Then put the glove partially on and flip the seal back onto the suit and straighten it out. Actually pretty easy to do once you've done it a couple of times, even the second glove.
I prefer bungees. Have tried both but find the bungees easier to use. I was lucky to find a second hand pair of excelletators, really looking forward to try them out!
On my pair of XT fins the rubber on the top is significantly thicker than the ones in the pictures. My fins are made in 2018 I think. I had an old pair of apollo prestige fins in size large which looked similar in thickness to your ones, but my xt fins are size xl and maybe there is a difference...
Interesting reading about the possibilities of servicing the servo valve. The xstream model seems to have a slightly different valve (at least to me it looks different) with no circlip. Can anyone verify if it actually is different, or if I need to have my eyes checked? 😂
I was thinking about making the switch from apeks to sitech myself. the siteck fits the rubber gasket on the outside, but the diameter is a bit smaller than the apeks. Is this going to cause a problem with sealing?
Sorry, it was scuba service tools I bought mine from. Here is a youtube link to the one I have
Poseidon 2. stage tool
I specifically asked Poseidon about the ball, and they said it´s only recommended to replace it if the reg sees high O2, or if it is damaged. If it is a steel one and it is in...
If you are going to use the regulator with high O² mixes (above 80%) then Poseidon recommends that you replace the ball with the ruby ball (if it has the stainless steel one).
I find them pretty easy to service. I have the second stage housing tool from scuba clinic tools, and it makes life a...
Each to their own, I'll stick to the DAN recommendations and wait 3-6 months. Also need to get off anti platelet medicine before I get back in the water.
Thought I'd update this thread. After being rejected for pfo closure in my local hospital, I was referred by my GP to another major hospital in Norway for a second opinion. Guess it was my lucky strike because they approved me for the procedure and I actually had it done today. I'm so happy and...
