I'm also looking for a buddy for Saturday. Going to PI next week and I'd like to knock the rust off a little before I go. Though, I'm diving wet and single tank.
Anyone interstested, please msg me.
I booked with these folks for a trip in May. Reasonably priced compared to other ops I found online. Not sure if it meets your criteria, but for what it's worth...
Sakura Charter
Thanks...
Last November on every night dive during a trip to Komodo, we saw cuttlefish. They were very interested in my lights. I found that when I placed my torch immediately next to my mask, they'd swim right up to my face. Extreme fun staring eye to eye inches apart.
So far I've been to PG, Bohol (mostly Balicasag) and Anilao. By far, my favorite destination for the diving alone was Anilao.
Convenient to reach from Manila and has a great variety of sites 5-20ish minutes from your resort. Nice macro/muck, the jacks at Twin Rocks, great coral and...
Wow, I'm impressed with your results from the stacked 165's. I've taken them on two trips now and only have a handful of shots I'm semi-happy with.
Do you leave your camera on manual focus and move the rig back and forth until your subject is in focus?

This lens has served me well, but I recently upgraded to a dry WA set-up.
There are some surface marks, but nothing appears in photos.

Talk about flip-flopping...
When in doubt, trust bien antennata. I've decided on a Tubbataha LOB for 5/21-5/26. Sorry Matt, maybe next time.
I'll be in PI until 5/30 and was looking at diving options after returning to Puerto Princesa. It seems just driving to El Nido for some less than...
Matt, I also saw something on your site about Aphex Twin, The Orb and Nightmares on Wax being available for play in your bar (and more importantly, NO Lady Gaga). I'll be reaching out for a quote soon. If you tell me you serve Harp at the Craic, I'll book today. :)
I was thinking Indo again, exactly what you mentioned, maybe Bali and/or Bunaken. PI is more on the radar for the convenience and cost of getting there from SFO. It would be peak for Tubbataha, but I'm trying not to spend a ton. I was looking around Luzon for more options. But after Anilao...
Can anyone suggest a region in PI that should have decent conditions in May/June (if there isn't a giant storm)? I've only been in Nov/Dec and I'm not sure what the conditions could be like at this other time of the year. Considering the effort it takes to get over there, when I pick a spot...
