I personally have the VT3 with the transmitter. So far it hasn't given me a days worry.
The Vyper is also well rated. What ever you decide in the end, you will have a good dive computer.
Whether you're diving in the ocean or at altitude, your depth gauge won't change. It's not the depth you...
Yeah it is an interesting question for manufacturers to answer.
The weights need to stay put regardless of how many you put on there. Having said that I still think people who require more weights than "normal" should probably stick to a traditional weight belt.....
This all has to be balanced...
Mark Addison is arguably THE person to go shark diving with in and around Durban. The man's involved with the Natal Sharks Board and films with National Geographic when they cover the Sardine Run.

Good call on the clips for the Intergrated Weight pockets. I had one pop out the other day, never to be seen again..... :(
How do you use the clips to hold everything in by the way?
Trip Report (11th to 13th February 2011) to Ponta do Oura, Mozambique.
After what can only be described as an "early" start a group of fifth day scuba divers set off to Ponta do Oura.
The Kosi bay border post was our first distination after leaving Durban. And for the most part the...
I can certainly sympathise with some of the points that SeaBeast is making. Diving around the world will open many people up to how other countries and diving operations do things. While I haven't had extensive exposure, I can say that here is South Africa we do tend to be content with the bare...

Well I'm heading up to Ponta over valentines weekend with my Dive club. It'll be my first time diving in Mozambique so I'm hoping that the diving is actually half decent.
If you want something different from your trip to SA, you can try Tiger Shark diving. It's like white shark diving but...
There is also the Mares Icon which they market as their travel BCD.
I personally have the Mares Pegasus which is very similar in the Icon. It's a very simple BCD but it's does the job perfectly. If you are looking for a back inflation BCD, then you should consider these.
I have the Mares MR22 Abyss (which I have been every happy with) but the Mares Abyss 22 Extreme does look sexy!
Not that I've picked up the Mares Proton but I'd imagine that the Abyss will be far lighter. Which is something to consider when going for a all metal body. After all your comfort is...
The reason I chose to get the non AT version of the Pegasus was because I want the manual inflate option close at hand. The AT probably is a great addition to a BCD and I have to admit I have yet to hear anyone complain about it. Like I said it was purely a redundancy thing/choice.
If you're...
