I've had the pleasure of diving with Lynne a couple times, she is one of the safest divers I know. My prayers to her and Peter at this very unsettling time.

The Blue Grotto has a large pool (compared to the other sites I saw) with a bit of overhead that isn't out of the light zone. Excellent place for open water as an alternative to Ginnie. Platforms at around 20' maybe 30' to the mud. Down side is it's more expensive ($40 for the day instead of $30)

We dove with Fernando at Scuba Shack a couple years ago as well. He was great! The ocean surges on that side were pretty cool. Lots to see but the viz isn't as good as Caribbean. Saw a number of eagle rays there... ;)
